Trains running over the Tôhoku Honsen through from Tôkyô via Ômiya - Kuki - Kurihashi - Oyama to Utsunomiya, and from Utsunomiya to Kuroiso (the end of the line for direct current trains) are today classed as Utsunomiya-sen trains.
