Tôkyô Metro – Hanzômon-sen  半蔵門線

Hanzômon-sen

1067 mm gauge, overhead current collection (direct current 1500 V). The Hanzômon-sen runs from Shibuya in the west of Tôkyô to Oshiage in the east of Tôkyô. Length: 16, 8 km. The line was opened 1978 – 2003.

The stations are:  1 Shibuya 渋谷 – 2 Omote Sandô 表参道 – 3 Aoyama Itchôme 青山一丁目 – 4 Nagata-chô 永田町 – 5 Hanzômon 半蔵門 (near the Hanzômon Gate of the Imperial Palace) – 6 Kudan-shita 九段下 –7  Jimbôchô 神保町 – 8 Ôtemachi 大手町 – 9 Mitsukoshi-mae 三越前 – 10 Suitengû-mae 水天宮前 – 11 Kiyosumi Shirakawa 清澄白河 – 12 Sumiyoshi 住吉 – 13 Kinshichô 錦糸町 – 14 Oshiage 押上.

Hanzômon-sen trains continue in the west of Tôkyô from 1 Shibuya over the Tôkyû Railway Company’s Den’en Toshi-sen (TD) right to its end at Chûô Rinkan. Conversely, Tôkyû Den’en Toshi-sen trains work over the Hanzômon-sen, and beyond.

In the east, Hanzômon-sen trains continue from 14 Oshiage northwards over the Tôbu Railway Company’s line to Hikifune and Kita Senju, and from here over the Tôbu Isesaki-sen (TÔI) via Koshigaya and Kasukabe to the Tôbu Zoo at Tôbu Dôbutsu Kô’en. Beyond there, they work either onwards to the city of Kuki, or – over the Tôbu Nikkô-sen (TÔN) - to Minami Kurihashi (Kurihashi South). Conversely, Tôbu Company trains work over the Hanzômon-sen and beyond over the Tôkyû Company’s Den-en Toshi-sen to Chûô Rinkan in the west of Tôkyô, while Tôkyû trains – having come over the Hanzômon-sen – work over the Tôbu lines north of 14 Oshiage.
