Hibiya-sen

1067 mm gauge, overhead current collection (direct current 1500 V). The Hibiya-sen runs from Naka-Meguro to Kita Senju via Hibiya, the area around the former Castle of Edo and later the Imperial Palace. Length: 20, 3 km. The line was opened 1961-1964.

The stations are: 22 Kita Senju 北千住 – 21 Minami Senju 南千住 – 20 Minowa 三ノ輪 – 19 Iriya 入谷 – 18 Ueno 上野 – 17 Naka Okachimachi 中御徒町 – 16 Akihabara 秋葉原 – 15 Kodenmachô 小伝馬町 – 14 Ningyôchô 人形町 – 13 Kayabachô 茅場町 – 12 Hatchôbori 八丁堀 – 11 Tsukiji 築地 – 10 Higashi Ginza 東銀座 – 9 Ginza 銀座 – 8 Hibiya 日比谷 – 7 Kasumigaseki 霞ヶ関 – 6 Toranomon Hills 虎ノ門ヒルズ - 5 Kamiyachô 神谷町 – 4 Roppongi 六本木 – 3 Hiroo 広尾 – 2 Ebisu 恵比寿 – 1 Naka Meguro 中目黒.

On the western side the Hibiya-sen was linked to the Tôkyû Company’s Tôyoko-sen at 1 Naka Meguro and ran as far as Hiyoshi until 2013. On the eastern side the Hibiya-sen is linked to the Tôbu Company at 22 Kita Senju and, in the same way as the Hanzômon-sen, continues via Tôbu Dôbutsu Kôen (the Tôbu Zoo) either to Kuki on the Tôbu Isesaki-sen (TÔI), or branching off at Tôbu Dôbutsu Kôen, to Minami Kurihashi on the Tôbu Nikkô-sen (TÔN). Conversely, the Tôbu Company’s trains run over the Hibiya-sen to 1 Naka-Meguro.
