From Yonezawa to Utsu Tunnel (18 October 2011)

0817 A Yonesaka train at Yonezawa. It is a 2-car train, made up of KIHA 110-204 and KIHA E120-4

0806 Yonesaka-sen train, lead by KIHA E120-8. These cars are now all on the newly built up Tadami-sen.

0805 Yonezawa, the terminal of the Yonesaka-sen. Two KIHA 110, the rear one KIHA 110-212, are moving out.

0804 Minami Yonezawa.

0803 Minami Yonezawa to Nishi Yonezawa.

0798 Near Narushima.

0795 Chûgun. Iwaigameyama peak in the distance.

0794 Chûgun to Uzen Komatsu.

0791 Uzen Komatsu. A Plasser & Theurer rail track maintenance machine in the siding.

0786 Heading towards Imaizumi.

0783 Imaizumi, the junction with the Yamagata Tetsudô. A Yonesaka-sen train (KIHA 111-202 + KIHA 112-202) is leaving for Oguni and Sakamachi.

0782 Here the Yonesaka-sen and the Yamagata Tetsudô divide, the Yonesaka-sen turning to the left.

0779 Approaching Hagyû.

0777 Hagyû halt, with KIHA 111-203 in the mirror.

0774 Uzen Tsubaki. KIHA 111-203 in the mirror.

0772 From Uzen Tsubaki to Tenoko, which is already in the incline.

0767 Tenoko halt. From here the train turns west and heads steeply into the mountains up to Utsu Tunnel.

0766 On the incline up to Utsu Tunnel (I).
