From 25 Shirokane Takanawa the Mita-sen takes the same route as the Tôkyô Metro Namboku-sen, running to the end of this line at Hiyoshi, that is, using the the Tôkyû Company’s Meguro-sen to Den’en Chôfu and then running alongside the Tôkyû Company’s Tôyoko-sen to Hiyoshi. Some trains continue from here to Shin Yokohama and to the Sôtetsu Company’s line further westward, at least to Nishiya. Conversely, Tôkyû Company trains run over the Mita-sen to the end at 1 Nishi Takashimadaira. Sôtetsu trains may operate all the way from Ebina to 1 Nishi Takashimadaira.
The situation concerning the use of different company’s rolling stock has changed considerably since the opening of the connection from Hiyoshi to Shin Yokohama (Tôkyû Company) and further to Nishiya (Sôtetsu Company) in 2023, and has still not settled down.
